Company Information

VSee Lab, with funding from the National Science Foundation, was founded in 2003 to develop low bandwidth videoconferencing and application sharing software. Intel CEO Paul Otellini, Oracle VP Chuck Rozwat, and Assistant Secretary of Defense Linton Wells have each selected VSee for keynotes or secure meetings. VSee was also chosen to be the videoconferencing solution for the Navy Strong Angel and the DARPA Grand Challenge.

VSee Lab is led by Dr. Milton Chen. Technical advisors include Prof. Terry Winograd,Prof. Pat Hanrahan, and Prof. James Davis. Milton's PhD research at Stanford University has shown why videoconferencing has failed to become ubiquitous despite billions in investments since 1927. Milton's unique insight on how to make video communication an everyday experience has led to more than 30 invited talks to major research institutions around the world. Terry is world-renowned for designing effective computer-mediated interaction. He was also the PhD advisor to Larry Page, whose project became google. James is an award winning creator of innovative sensing systems that allow computers to see and interpret the real world. Pat, a two-time Academy Award winner and co-founder of pixar, is a pioneer of computer-mediated visualization.
