Re: 9.0.0.1201 release announcement

"Retrieve live user presence" - is this only available to those administrators that control their own VSee Directory Server? How is it made available? A web-service? JSON?

It would be great to be able to publish, via an HTML URL, my presence - with a "click-to-contact" activation. I know I can use

<a href="vsee:Rich-Griffin">call</a> me

or some such, but it would be great if my online presence/activity status could also be shown.

Finally - it would be great to be able to provide additional information beyond just the VSee ID of the participants on their video window. I would love to be able to log into the public VSee Directory server from both my iPhone and machine on which I use VSee. The idea would be to make use of my iPhone's assisted-GPS to provide my location (in the form of the place Name) and UTC offset time along with my VSee ID currently showed in the bar above the video window of session participants. The directory server simply looks up the longitude & latitude info and displays the name of the location in the presence information of users. Ultimately, I'd like to display my location, local time, VSee availabilty, click-to-VSee URI and local weather info on Facebook, LinkedIn and corporate portal additionally to that information shown on the VSee video window.

While I'm at it, it would be great to make full-screen available again with self-view as PiP. Additional participants in a VSee session would scale to fit full screen automatically (sort of how Ctrl-T works now I guess.)

If I share an application or PowerPoint slide show it would be cool to (by a switch) flip between:

1.) Slide at full screen with video windows of participants framing the slide show

or:

2.) Some hybrid display showing the PPS at full screen with a level of transparency less than the overlaid full screen matrix of all participants - so that I can see all participants along with the powerpoint in slide show mode both at full screen.

Rich-

Thanks for the suggestions.

Live User Presence is available as a Web Service for anyone who has their own private directory. We are offering it on an experimental basis on the public server - contact support@vsee.com if you are interested.

Re: 9.0.0.1201 release announcement

Everytime I run VSee I get an error that the certificate in the signature cannot be verified. I can click through it but it's a nuisance

Re: 9.0.0.1201 release announcement

QCobb,

Are you getting a window titled "Open File - Security Warning"?
That has a message that "The publisher could not be verified."

If so, you'll note that in the lower left hand corner is a selected radial box that says, "Always ask before opening this file."

Deselect that box and it should never bother you again.

If that's not the verification warning that you're receiving, please write back to us quoting the title of the window, whom the report was from (Vista, your security software, etc.), and the error message.

Thanks for the question!
