I see two issues.
After installing Vsee, GChat cannot access my camera, even with Vsee not running.
Second, After the install of Vsee, Launching Firefox requires administrative authority.
Machine OS: Win 7 x64
Camera: Creative VF0410
Browser: Firefox 3.6.3
Vsee v:10.0.0.421

Hi,
The camera can only be accessed by one application at a time (say, if GChat were running, Skype or VSee couldn't use the camera at the same time). We're guessing that VSee probably isn't actually exited when you're launching GChat.
Are you closing VSee from either the drop down menu in your video window ("exit") or from the system tray? If not, you're probably just minimizing your video window. If you are using "exit", then check in task manager and close any VSee processes. This should let GChat use the camera.
Re: the firefox issue, please send a screenshot of the dialog box asking for administrative authority to support@vsee.com

I've tried exiting vsee both from the drop down in the video window as well as the killing the process in task manager (separate occasions). I even turned off the auto start when windows starts feature and tried to launch GChat before Vsee ever launches. Same result.
as an update you want me to send you a screen shot of the UAC window? I don't know that i can do that without Snag-it or some other program. Print Screen doesn't seem to capture it

Hmm. I'll check with the engineers on the first part. As for the screen shot: Some versions of Windows 7 have the Snipping Tool in the Start Menu. See if you can use that if print screen isn't capturing it.

John,
Quick updates.
1. the UAC with Firefox is a known issue. Apparently it happened in conjunction with me installing VSee, however that was just coincidence

2. I uninstalled Vsee, and Firefox. Re-installed Firefox, and Vsee. I successfully chatted with Google with Vsee off. I have not tried with it on, but there is no need to. Currently I think the issue is resolved. the only conflict I can think of is, If someone calls me on Google while Vsee is up, that may induce the conflict again.
I am willing to test things out if your team would like some input.
Thank you for the prompt responses.
Phoenix

Phoenix,
Thank you. We would love it. This is exactly the kind of information we'd like to see here in the forums.
