Help us make VSee Android the best mobile video chat app ever! Get our VSee Android beta release here and send us your feedback and bug reports. VSee Android, like VSee for iPhone features secure group video calls, text chat, and the new multiple device login. VSee Android has been in private beta for several months now and is now ready for public beta (although it still has several crash issues).
Please note: VSee requires Android 4.03 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or later. Also, it is distributed via HockeyApp which has built-in feedback and bug reporting functions. HockeyApp does require a separate registration account from VSee Android.
Again, please send us your feedback and bug reports. We are aiming for a general release end of April / early May. Thanks for your support 🙂
Get VSee for Android here!
Hi Milton!
Love VSee! Any word on when the new Android platform might be available?
Dan
hi Dan!
here it is: https://vsee.com/vsee-android-beta-release/
thanks for your kind words 🙂
I want to thank you for working to bring Vsee to the android platform. Vsee has made it easier for me to stay in touch with my family while deployed with the US Army.
Are there Android APIs that we can use? I have a deadline tomorrow to make a decision whether to use openTok or Vsee for my client. Please help …
Dear Mason, Android has an API – same features as iPhone/iPad. However, vsee API is not free unlike OpenTok. Most of our customers start out w/ OpenTok or any of the dozens WebRTC wrappers, and then eventually come to VSee 🙂 how about start out w/ OpenTok for now and then we would love to hear from you later. OpenTok did a great job simplify video integration – switching to vsee later on would be very simple also. thanks!
Will Vsee be able to work an android pad? I have Asus Tf101 rooted with KitKat.
Hi Harvey – we’re definitely working to get VSee supported on Android tablet in the next few months, but currently there are several known issues with VSee on Android tablets that need to be resolved.
VSee, even on a fresh reset, never loading the app, is using a lot of data.
I’ve turned off background data for it in my Android settings, but it’s concerning. What kind of information is the app sending?
Hi Shaun. VSee is constantly communicating with VSee servers: doing login, updating presence status, trying to connect with the servers. However, it should not be consuming a lot of data. You can send bug reports to support@vsee.com
Thanks!
I would like to login to VSee on my Nanas phone but not download it. Can I do that?
Hi Michaela -VSee app for iPhone requires downloading.
Does Vsee have a download for Android tablets yet?
Yes – VSee for Android now works with Android tablets (however we do not support tablets that use an atom processor). Thanks!
Hi, can i share docs and screen in the android app
Android & iOS devices may receive screen shares, but currently cannot send. File-transfer is also not available on Android.
