William Stanford, MD, PhD, FACP, is the cofounder of Genomicity, a physician consultation service for genomics and personalized medicine. He began his career as a mechanical and aerospace engineer and flight instructor in Texas, becoming a medical doctor in 1998. He practiced medicine for 17 years at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA. During that time, he was founder and CEO of a large private-practice hospitalist group, served as Medical Director of Case Management and Physician Advisor for Clinical Transformation, and was peer-elected to be Clinical Chief of General Internal Medicine.
Dr. Stanford is passionate about improving healthcare quality, efficiency, and accessibility by leveraging the blistering pace of technological and biomedical advancement. He believes the key to this is to personalize healthcare delivery based on the individual patient’s genetics and other biochemical factors.
