In partnership with Shared Studios, VSee brought the benefits of telemedicine to Myanmar with the first telemedicine conference in Myanmar at the American Center in Yangon.

The Telemedicine: Future of Healthcare conference was held on November 22. VSee co-sponsored this half-day event which included talks from VSee and major US health systems – Ascension Health and Seton Healthcare Family.

Participants experienced first-hand, state-of-the-art telemedicine solutions such as VSee’s Telemedicine Kit (doctor-in-a-box), which has been used in Iraq, Nigeria, Africa, and the Philippines. Twenty-five medical professionals who were in attendance were also able to connect with physicians in the United States to see how telemedicine allows collaboration among specialists in different parts of the world to deliver the best healthcare to patients.

Becky Wai, VP of Sales, Marketing & Operations at VSee, and a Burmese national, sees her dream of bringing telemedicine to her motherland and to other remote areas becoming a reality. To this end, VSee continues to educate people around the world about the benefits of telemedicine, as well as to provide telemedicine training and solutions that are innovative, simple and effective.

Special thanks to Anne Johnson and Aye Aye Nyein from the US Embassy; Mindy Walker and Zaw Linn Htet from Shared Studios for making this happen!
