VSee Messenger Release 4.5 – Block Unwanted Contacts

At VSee, we take your privacy very seriously. That’s why we’ve added new address book security features that will give you more control and better security over your VSee contact list. The new Contact Security features now allow you to

1. Block messages from unknown (and unwanted) contacts
2. Approve a contact before allowing them to add you to their VSee address book
3. Immediately identify which of your contacts have added you to their VSee address book via the “Contact Request” group

This also means that continuing previous chats with non-added contacts may require adding either party to add each other to their respective address books.

What are Auto Contacts?

You may also see a new “Auto Contacts” group in your address book. These are users that had added you to their address book in the past, but you did not add them in your address book.

vsee auto contacts

If you don’t want the “auto contact” you can simply delete the contact and you will be removed from the other user’s address book as well.

If you want to keep the contact, simply move the user to a new group as desired.

vsee invalid status

Note that some of the contacts in “Auto Contacts” might have an invalid status (see right) . These “invalid” contacts are simply users that have never logged into VSee to auto accept your invite.

We hope you enjoy this added layer of security. Please contact support@vsee.com if you have questions or problems.
