VSee New Release 928 – Updated Directory!

VSee updateSpecial thanks to the VSee server team for bringing our service to the next level of stability!

Due to user growth, you may have been experiencing bouts of directory outages recently.  In this latest version of VSee we’ve updated our directory with some of the most reliable and scalable communications services technology!

Make sure to experience VSee at its best!  Update to Windows version 12.0.0.928 and Mac version 12.0 (13575).  List of all release changes below:

  • New calling & meeting infrastructure (end of directory downtimes)
    NOTE: Will be enabled approximately 1 week after this release. All users must update to latest versions before this time, or they may face problems calling.
  • Fix for call freeze issues due to case sensitive login
  • Fix for full name display
  • Fix for auto update
  • Fix for occasional loss of audio with XMPP calling
  • Minor UI changes

Check to make sure you are on the most current version of VSee:

  • Win version 12.0.0.928 – Click the Help icon in the address book –>select “About VSee…” and see if it is the newest version.  VSee will download the newest client for you (which will show as  a checkmark in task tray icon).  Simply restart the program to use the updated VSee.
  • Mac version 10.1 (13575) – Click “VSee” top menu and choose “check for updates.”

    12.0.0.928 was supposed to fix “call freeze issues”? I have been using VSee for roughly 18 months, and I love it. The best and most reliable video chat I’ve used. However, the last couple updates have made our connection the most unreliable we’ve experienced since last year. The connection from April until September was near flawless. Since September, there have been many freeze ups and lost connections. I love VSee, but I feel it is important to point out the last update or two has proven problematic…for my wife and I, at least. That said, it is still better than the alternatives.

    Also, “we’re currently working hard to first launch our iPad app. This will be followed by the iPhone and Android app.” That is AWESOME news! iPhone app will be great! You guys rock!

    There will be in the next month or so! We just did a demo of VSee iPad last week. Currently, it’s still in internal testing.

    Hi Matt! Thanks for sticking with VSee as we work out these directory upgrade bugs. It has been a much needed overhaul to the system, and we are definitely keeping an eye on things as we transition to this improved infrastructure. Please contact support if you continue to have call freeze issues in the next week or so. You may also want to try completely uninstalling and re-installing VSee. Our apologies for any inconvenience.
