What (Not) To Do When Selling Your Company – James Marciano (Tuck Advisors)

James is a lifelong entrepreneur. He started an Internet company in 1995 called TheSquare. It was one of the 1st two social networks on the web. The co-founder of HotJobs, acquired TheSquare in 2001. In 1998, James founded Refer-it.com – the first directory of affiliate programs. It was acquired by internet.com and taken public. James also founded ReturnPathin 1999, a global email solution services company. Together, the companies he founded have raised over $100 million in equity. From 2001-2014, James funded about a dozen startups. He managed the sale of two of those investments to public companies. In 2015, he founded Tuck Advisors, an investment bank that focuses exclusively on sell side M&A for entrepreneurs.
