Gary is a physician focused on healthcare informatics and innovation. Gary is a business leader and serial entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience building and managing various businesses in the healthcare vertical. He was a Co-Founder of ModioHealth.com, a web-based SaaS healthcare technology platform that digitizes and automates the currently labor-intensive and manual processes of medical credentialing and provider data management. Gary was also the founder & CEO of The CE Channel, an online platform for the delivery of continuing education,   Co-Founder and CEO of International Medical Staffing Solutions (IMSS). Gary has sat on the Advisor Board for Challenger Corporation, one of the country’s largest web-based training company for Board Education and Recertification), Leaprail, an analytics company that brings data hidden in an EMR to life through predictive analytics, and Context Surgery a deep learning and Virtual Reality digital health startup aimed at reducing medical errors by providing surgeons with the right information at the just in time at the point of care.

Gary currently is the Founder and a principal and Managing Director for Global Health Impact Fund and the Founder and CEO of Global Health Impact Network. Together they are a unique strategic health professional driven digital innovation venture fund and global collaborative digital innovation network.

His professional background includes dental (DDS) training at NYU and medical training (MD) at Drexel Medical College. Residency in Anesthesiology and Fellowship trained in Obstetric Anesthesia at Harvard Medical Schools Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and in Neurosurgical Anesthesia at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He ran a 3 office Dental Anesthesiology focused practice in Philadelphia in the early 80’s and after his medical training has been, a practicing anesthesiologist since 1989. He was a member of Bay Anesthesia Medical Group (BAMG) which later merged with East Bay Anesthesia Medical Group (EBAMG). .Gary was the founder and Medical Director for over 20 years of the Obstetric Anesthesiology division at Alta Bates Medical Center, Berkeley CA, a high risk perinatal tertiary referral center.
