About Speaker
Anupam is a physician executive within UnitedHealthcare helping develop health information technology solutions for the company. He graduated from Emory’s school of medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis. After residency, he did a two-year research fellowship in Burlington, Vermont. His first job out of training was a general medicine faculty member at Wayne State University in Detroit. He moved on to UC San Diego to serve as their ambulatory medical director of clinical informatics. After obtaining an MBA from San Diego State University, he joined Advocate Health Care (now AdvocateAuroraHealth) in Chicago as their inpatient chief medical information officer. In August 2018, Anupam moved to UnitedHealthcare. He has developed expertise within the academic, non-profit and payer segments within the healthcare marketplace. He believes informatics can help bend the health care cost curve by empowering individuals to make more informed decisions and adopt new behaviors.
